🛍️Shopping at Tessa Vera:
How do I find the exact product I want?
Use the search bar at the top of the page! Simply type in the product name, style, or category you’re interested in — for example, “fedora hat”, “birthstone ring”, or “moissanite bracelet.” The search will show you all matching items to make browsing quick and easy.
Can I search by color only?
Absolutely! If you or someone you’re shopping for loves a particular color — like pink, blue, yellow, or any other — just type the color name in the search bar. You’ll see every item available in that color across all categories. This is a perfect way to find gifts or accessories that match a favorite color without needing to know exact product names or styles.
Can I combine colors, styles, and product types in my search?
Yes! Feel free to mix and match your search terms. For example, typing “green backpack” or “gold moissanite ring” will bring up all items that fit those criteria. This makes it easy to find exactly what you want in your preferred color and style.
What if I don’t know the exact product name?
No problem! You can search using any related words or descriptions, including colors, styles, or general categories. The search tool is designed to help you discover products even if you’re not sure of the exact name.
💎 FAQ: Understanding the Gemstones & Diamond Alternatives We Use
We’re proud to offer a variety of stunning gemstones and diamond alternatives in our collection. Each stone has its own beauty, benefits, and characteristics. Below is a guide to help you understand what each one is, how it compares to others, and why we’ve chosen to use it in our designs.
⸻
What is a Lab-Created Gemstone?
Lab-created gemstones (also called synthetic or man-made gemstones) are real gemstones grown in a laboratory using the same physical, chemical, and optical processes that occur in nature.
✅ Characteristics:
• Identical to natural gems in appearance and composition
• Eco-friendly and conflict-free
• Often flawless and more affordable than mined stones
• Available in options like sapphire, ruby, emerald, alexandrite, and more
🌎 Why Choose It?
Lab-created gemstones are a sustainable choice that supports ethical jewelry practices while offering brilliance and color nearly indistinguishable from natural gems.
⸻
What is Moissanite?
Moissanite is a brilliant lab-created gemstone originally discovered in a meteor crater. Today, it’s engineered to provide a diamond-like sparkle with even more fire (rainbow light dispersion).
✅ Characteristics:
• Hardness: 9.25 on the Mohs scale (second only to diamond)
• Brilliance: Exceptionally high sparkle and fire
• Color: Usually near-colorless or colorless
• Durability: Excellent for everyday wear
• Eco-conscious & conflict-free
💡 Did You Know?
Moissanite has more fire than diamonds, meaning it throws off more rainbow-like light flashes—making it a popular choice for engagement rings and glam pieces.
⸻
What is Cubic Zirconia?
CZ Veneer is a premium enhancement applied to cubic zirconia stones. A thin layer of carbon or diamond-like material is bonded to the CZ to make it look closer to a natural diamond.
✅ Characteristics:
• Base: Cubic zirconia
• Coating: Diamond-like carbon (DLC) layer
• Hardness: Still 8–8.5 (core remains CZ)
• Appearance: Softer, more natural sparkle than regular CZ
• Longevity: The coating may wear off over time with heavy use
💎 Ideal For:
Those who want the look of a real diamond without the price tag, but want an upgraded alternative to traditional CZ.
What is Cubic Zirconia (CZ)?
Cubic zirconia is a man-made crystal crafted to simulate the sparkle and clarity of a diamond at a more accessible price point.
✅ Characteristics:
• Hardness: 8–8.5 on the Mohs scale
• Color: Usually flawless and colorless unless dyed
• Brilliance: Sparkly, though with slightly less fire than moissanite
• Affordability: Very budget-friendly
🔍 Key Notes:
Cubic zirconia offers the look of luxury without the price tag. While not as durable as diamond or moissanite, it’s perfect for fashion-forward, trend-driven jewelry.
⸻
What is Zircon (Natural Zircon)?
Zircon is a naturally occurring gemstone, not to be confused with cubic zirconia. It’s admired for its brilliance and wide range of colors.
✅ Characteristics:
• Hardness: 6–7.5 on the Mohs scale
• Color: Available in white, blue, champagne, and more
• Brilliance: High light dispersion and sparkle
• Origin: Mined naturally (often heat-treated)
🌟 Why It Stands Out:
Zircon is one of Earth’s oldest minerals. It sparkles like a diamond but offers a more antique, earthy charm.
⸻
What is Rhinestone?
Rhinestones are imitation gemstones made from glass, crystal, or acrylic, designed to mimic the sparkle of diamonds at a very low price.
✅ Characteristics:
• Hardness: Varies (lower than CZ or moissanite)
• Color: Clear or colored
• Brilliance: High initial sparkle, but may dull over time
• Best Use: Costume jewelry, fashion accessories, embellishments
⚠️ Keep In Mind:
Rhinestones are best for occasional wear or fashion pieces—not meant for heirloom-quality jewelry due to their lower durability.
